What are the fees associated with using Wyrk?

Wyrk charges per hour worked by our Wyrkers. The hourly rate of the Wyrkers is negotiated with our client.  We do ask that the hourly rate be the same as an employee would cost you on a fully costed basis. In the end, we will not dictate the Wyrkers’ rate; however, it will impact the likelihood of our Wyrkers accepting shifts, as well as the time it takes for the shifts to be filled. Wyrk does not charge any fixed or monthly fees.

How do you ensure that Wyrkers have the proper qualifications for the job?

Each client is asked for the necessary qualifications for each type of service.  These qualification requirements are configured into the Wyrk App.  When a client searches the system with a need, only those who are qualified are returned in the search results.

How does Wyrk combat no-shows?

Wyrk has analytical tools that are continuously evolving as more data is gleaned from operations.  With this data, we determine the approximate no-show rate.  Based on this no-show rate, we book extra Wyrkers as backup.  You will only be billed for the number of Wyrkers you requested. Should all Wyrkers show up including the backups, Wyrk will pay the backups for up to four hours if they are sent home.

How does billing and payments work?

We handle all the payments to Wyrkers. We will bill you weekly with 30-day net terms. We have a geo-fence feature for check-ins and checkouts to ensure the accuracy of the hours we bill. We also compare our records with yours to ensure accuracy.

How does Wyrk differentiate from its competitors?

We vet our Wyrkers like a staffing agency, but we utilize technology to keep our costs low and charge fees that are much lower than a staffing agency.  Our app allows our clients to choose the people they want to work for them.  Once someone has worked for our client a few times, and our client likes them, the system can automatically let them know of any available shifts before anyone else.

We are continuously listening to what our clients say to make our platform stronger and useful to our clients and Wyrkers.

How much notice do I need to give Wyrk in order to get my shifts filled?

It will solely depend on the attractiveness of the shifts as the Wyrkers are free to decide whether to pick up shifts. The attractiveness of shifts is determined by their location, time and pay rate. One week notice is ideal.

What types of businesses can Wyrk help?

We are currently working with:

  • Security guards
  • Hospitality
  • Construction
  • Landscaping
  • Cleaning
  • Warehousing
  • Farming
  • General labour
What happens when a Wyrker drops the shifts with short notice?

The shifts will be sent out to the qualified Wyrkers who you’ve invited initially to work the shift. Our operations team will also be there to support in finding a replacement, and depending on the time of the notice for canceling the shifts, we will take disciplinary actions such as suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
